Application Process – First Year Students
|
Applying for admission to Rice Memorial High School using our printed packet materials is a simple, straight-forward process. We will provide you with the tools to make sure your application packet is complete and ready for our review.

The following checklist shows the items that need to be completed before your application is reviewed for admission. Only completed application files will be reviewed.

Step One - Application

Application form (this includes registration for Placement Test) download here
Copies of 7th and 8th grade report cards
Copies of most recent standardized test scores
Copies of IEP/504 Plan (if applicable)
Teacher/Course Recommendation Forms download here
(please note that these are used for both admission and placement)
$150 Application fee (refundable only if student is not accepted for admission)
A family visit is strongly encouraged as part of the admission process.
Completed applications will be reviewed and notified of admission on a rolling basis. Admissions decisions will be made within two weeks of the COMPLETION of the application packet. The Priority Deadline for Application to Rice is February 15th. Applications received before that date are given preference for course selection and financial aid. After that date, applications are considered as space is available, and the application fee is $225.00.

Rice Memorial Catholic High School admits qualified
students regardless of race, color, religion, nationality,
or ethnic origin. Admission decisions are based on
the ability of Rice to meet the educational needs
of the applicant. In the event that applications of
qualified students exceed the capacity of a respective
class, applicants will be ranked according to the
following criteria: (1) siblings of current Rice students,
(2) students from Catholic schools, (3) public school
students who are active members of a Catholic parish,
(4) children of Rice Alumni, and (5) academic ability.
Qualified applicants who are denied admission will
be placed on a waiting list and ranked according to
the above criteria.
